About Spectrum
Spectrum is one of the most requested and entertaining professional bands in St. Louis for private parties. They are also one of the few preferred bands at the Ritz-Carlton, Chase Park Plaza, Coronado Ballroom, Kemoll's Top of the Met, Windows On/Off Washington, Renaissance Grand, Sheraton City Center, Frontenac Hilton, Kemp Auto Museum, Orlando Gardens, and they are already familiar with the acoustics and logistics of most St. Louis locations. Spectrum was recently selected as the "Best Band in Missouri" in the Modern Bride national magazine for the second year in a row! The voting was conducted by St. Louis event coordinators and country club managers and they're especially proud of that national achievement and level of satisfaction. They regularly perform at all kinds of events and especially weddings which are by far the most complex type from a logistical perspective but performing at corporate, public, and charity events are a pleasure also since they always involve a fun and engaging audience. Spectrum is excited to announce that they have partnered with a professional sound and light company (Kent Audio & Lighting) to provide the best possible experience for their clients at no extra cost. They now provide all of the equipment for the band including a state-of-the-art PA and light system, instrument cartage and set-up, as well as all stage preparations prior to each show. You are more than welcome to use their PA and wireless microphone for your event. They can also take care of many other additional audio/video and staging needs you might have for your event at a reduced cost since they will already be on site for your event. Kent Audio & Lighting can provide: wireless lapel microphones for speeches, video screens and projectors, spotlights, large indoor or outdoor staging systems, and additional sound and lighting capabilities for any size venue. Also, a professional engineer is on site for each performance to ensure that the sound and lighting are perfect! The band maintains a very full schedule indicative of a high level of success and can provide hundreds of testimonials from past clients. You can feel confident that you are working with professionals that have over 20 years of experience and that they will still be here far in the future when your event takes place. After reviewing their song list you'll quickly see that they can please any audience and yes, they do take requests. They selected the name of the band to reflect the wide "spectrum" of music styles that they perform and that should be evident as you review the song list. They have a new classic attire rather than the "cookie cutter band" tuxedo look, new custom music stands reminiscent of the big band era, new state-of-the-art speaker & light systems, and many other behind-the-scenes updates. They can easily dress in casual attire for you if that is more appropriate for your event. They are always upgrading their equipment so that they have the latest available technology to ensure that the quality of their sound is superior and that their appearance is as sharp and professional as possible. They are continuously re-investing in themselves to present the band in the most professional and entertaining way possible for their clients. The purpose of their 9-piece format is that it allows them to perform all styles of music with an "authentic sound" and their on-site sound engineer always monitors volume for their audiences so that is never an issue. Their orchestration includes male and female lead vocalists, trumpet, saxophone, trombone, keyboard, guitar, bass, and drums. Having nine musicians is not twice as loud as having four musicians but the difference is that the songs "sound authentic" with the proper instrumentation. They can fit the full group in the smallest of space so that's never been a problem even if they have to get quite creative with floor space. Their primary format is the 9-piece band but they have many other options so it's easy to customize the evening to fit your musical needs. They've performed at events as small as 50 guests and as large as 5,000 while opening for ZZ Top during an IBM corporate event at the Scottrade Center so they know exactly how to make your event a tremendous success! The band leader is a member of the American Federation of Musicians and they can provide proof of liability insurance upon request so please don't hesitate to ask for any verification of credentials when you book with them. The leader not only manages the band, he also performs in the band so he makes every possible effort to attend each appearance to ensure that every detail is addressed. Please let us know if you have any questions about the Spectrum Band and we'll contact them and get an answer for you right away.
