About The Phil Loder Trio In 1994, Loder composed a new age, solo piano underscore for an Addy award winning spot for Montgomery Mall in greater Washington, DC. Since that time, he has composed and performed on over 100 pieces of commercial music for companies like Ameren, Dairy Queen, Mallinkrodt, Stouffer Hotels, The St. Louis Cardinals, Sheraton Hotels, Jack Daniels Whiskey The St. Louis Blues, and many other national, regional and local advertising campaigns. In 2000, Phillip gained international recognition when he composed the score for the highly acclaimed motion picture, "Silent Cry." Also well known for his unique singing style, the singer/pianist is a staple on the St. Louis nightclub scene; performing with his groups at hot spots like The Ritz-Carlton and Cafe Eau. The Phil Loder Trio's first CD, "Standars Vol. I" was released on Whistlewind Records in 2000, and gained an even larger following for the group. Currently, a new Phil Loder CD featuring Loder in the familiar trio setting, along with septet and big band configurations is in the works. An Early 2003 release is planned. On any given day, you can find Loder writing compositions for film and advertising, or leading his trio, septet, or big band through an upbeat set of "Sinatra Style" selections at a local club.
