About Mystic Voyage
Mystic Voyage has been providing St. Louisans with high-energy shows since its inception in 1982. The band's repertoire cuts a wide groove through many styles of music, such as big band, reggae, hip-hop, rap, pop, blues, traditional ethnic folk songs, traditional and contemporary jazz, and of course, classical Motown and R&B! Mystic Voyage is quite pleased to have released its first recording project, under the watchful eye of reed-man Fred Walker entitled Blues in a Red Dress. The CD, is a compilation of ten original and cover songs arranged, orchestrated, and produced by the members of Mystic Voyage. Highlights of the band's musical journey include appearances with the Ramsey Lewis Trio, Roy Ayers, Pieces of A Dream, Phyliss Hyman and Jimmy Witherspoon, the Jazz Crusaders, Bo Diddley Jr., Taylor Dane, Bruce Purse, Prince Charles Alexander, and Vincent Henry. Mystic Voyage has also had the distinct honor of providing the musical accompaniment for several theatrical productions in St. Louis Mystic Voyage Song List
