The Mighty Big Band are six seasoned musicians, performing the best in Rhythm & Blues, Soul, Jazz, R&B, Funk, Roots Rock.....Heart-felt REAL music by any definition or category. They pride themselves in playing timeless music that is universal in appeal, because it is good for the soul, mind and body. If anything, The Mighty Big Band try not to conform to the flavor of the day trends, or pander the audience with hoaky schlock, but prefer to play interpretations of music that has proved itself as vital to the spirit and art of having a good time.
The Mighty Big Band was formed in1992 by the late vocalist and drummer Billy Gayles.
The Mighty Big Band can also provide on request a "review" type show featuring guest vocalists & musicians with a full horn section, or a scaled down version of the show to provide dinner/background music.
