About John Farrar

John has been playing jazz and blues full time around St. Louis for the past 15 years. During this period he has fronted his own jazz trio and worked with various R&B and Zydeco groups. He has played the St. Louis Jazz Fest and Big Muddy Blues Fest among others. National artists he has opened for include Norman Brown, Chubby Carrier and Gino Delafose to name a few. John also performs in solo and duo settings. John is featured on several local CD's including John Thomas & Friends' "Off the Block" and "Green with Passion" and the Sheldon's "St. Louis Jazz at the Sheldon."
