About Dangerous Kitchen __________________________

Dangerous Kitchen is a 6-piece funk/rock band hailing from St. Louis, MO. The band has been together since August of 1996 and in that time has solidified into a formidable unit capable of covering styles ranging from Jazz, Latin and Old School Funk to something approaching Metal, all of which reflect the band members’ diversity of experience.

The “Kitchen” is the product of a group of freelance musicians who were tired of the same old gigs and the same old repertoire required of freelancers. Bassist Dan Eubanks decided to gather the best players he could find to play music that was creatively satisfying but at the same time infectious enough to get audiences involved and above all on the dance floor. The band is currently made up of seasoned veterans with specialties ranging from all of the styles mentioned previously. On drum set is Andy Marks, keyboards Pete Ruthenburg and on guitar is Tony Estrada. Rounding out the group is Blake Travis on vocals and percussion and all-around percussion wizard Christopher Fabick.

The Kitchen plays a mixture of original and cover material and has an extensive repertoire of funk and soul classics to play in clubs and for private functions. Depending on the situation, the mix changes to fit the audience at hand. The band completed their first cd of original music and it is available at various locations including all live engagements.
